What hours are your engineers available?
Our highly-qualified engineers are available from 8 am – 6 pm, Monday – Saturday. Our engineers occasionally carry out repairs, servicing and installations on Sundays and weekday evenings, however, this is subject to our engineers’ availability in your local area.

Do you offer same-day service?
Yes, we do offer same-day service with our emergency response services. If you’ve got a problem with your heating, hot water or appliance we can get that sorted for you – fast!

Am I able to choose a specific time or day for my repair, installation or service that suits me?
Yes, you are able to choose a specific time or day for any work you wish to have carried out.
At PlumbingForce we book appointments within four-hour time slots. However, if there is a specific time you would like to request, our friendly and professional customer service team can arrange a suitable appointment in advance.
Are PlumbingForce engineers qualified?
At PlumbingForce, all our plumbers and gas engineers hold Gas Safety Certification, which you find out more about by typing in their number on the Gas Safe Register database.
They also carry photographs of their Gas Safety Certification which can be shown to customers.
What if I don’t want a same-day service?
We offer great flexibility when arranging installations to fit your schedule. We’re able to attend your property on any chosen day, from Monday – Saturday. This does occasionally include our engineers working on Sundays and work day evenings, however, this is subject to our engineers’ availability in your local area.
What kind of properties do you service?
At PlumbingForce we service domestic and commercial properties.
Do you charge for hourly rate work or fixed price work?
Most of our services are quoted on hourly and thereafter half hourly rates. We charge a minimum one-hour fee should the works exceed 1 hour. Therefore, our rates afterwards revert to half-hourly charges.
We aim to service and repair as quickly as possible.
Occasionally, some of our jobs are set at fixed price fees. Therefore, we advise customers in advance of the work commencing in case the job is a fixed fee.
Do I need to be in for my installation, service or repair?
Yes, you will need to be present at your property when your installation has been arranged in order for our engineers to carry out the work.
What are the most common boiler faults?
The most common boiler repairs we’re asked to fix include:
- Failed components such as pumps, fans, PCBs and sensors
- Leaks
- There is hot water but no heating
- Insufficient boiler pressure
- Frozen condensate pipe
- The boiler is not responding to the thermostat
- There is no heat or hot water
- Low water pressure
- The boiler keeps shutting down or switching off temporarily
- Unusual boiler noises
- The pilot light has gone out
- Airlocks that block the hot water in your boiler from circulating

Do you offer free quotes?
We offer free quotes on certain services. Please contact our friendly and professional customer service team at 0330 173 2923 for more details.
For some quotation services that are labour-intensive, we charge a nominal survey fee which can be redeemed should the quotation proceed within 14 days.
If the quote is accepted on the same day, Plumbing Force will refund the initial fee against the price quoted.
Repairs, servicing and emergency plumbing, heating and gas services are charged based on hourly and half-hourly labour rates should parts be required if they are quoted for with the addition of the labour rates charged.
Can you tell us more about the boiler manufacturers PlumbingForce uses?
Plumbing Force is approved by many of the leading boiler manufacturers including, Vaillant, Worcester, Ideal, Baxi, Potterton, Alpha, Glow Worm, and more.
We also offer finance payments on Worcester Bosch Boiler installations.
How long is your labour and parts warranty?
All our services are backed by our 12-month standard labour warranty. If parts are required to be fitted, they are covered by a minimum 12 months parts and labour warranty too.
However, most of our boiler and cylinder products are solely backed with a 5-14 year manufacturer’s warranty and exclude labour. Some of our manufacturers offer extended warranties on certain stock items.

Could you please explain your period of the warranty?
Guarantees provided by PlumbingForce shall be for labour and parts fitted in, in respect of faulty workmanship from 12 months of the date of completion. This is based on jobs that have been booked on an hourly and half-hourly rate and exclude warranty on labour.
The guarantee covers:
- Any labour supplied is covered by a 12-month warranty.
- Any parts and labour that have been delivered, are covered by our 12 monthly parts and labour warranty.
- Any parts, equipment or components supplied by the company will be covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranty.*PlumbingForce offer a minimum of 12 months on parts supplied
- If parts fail after the 12-month warranty and the manufacturer warranty is longer. The additional warranty on the parts is covered by the manufacturer and additional labour rates will apply if our employees visit your property.
- Any work that is directly undertaken by Plumbingforce employees.
- Any work carried out on behalf of Plumbingforce by agents or sub-contractors will be guaranteed under their own respective policies.
- If recommendations have been provided and not accepted, the warranty is void.
Do you provide paper or other electric quotes?
Yes, we provide both paper via postal service and electronic quotations that we can send to your address.
Do you charge extra when using specialist parts on certain jobs?
Our engineers will be required to use ordered special parts to carry out larger jobs. In this case, we require a minimum 50% deposit with the remaining balance to be paid on the day of the completed work.
For some specialist jobs that require ordering parts, we require a minimum 50% deposit with the remaining balance being payable on the completion of the work via a debit/credit card transaction or instantaneous bank transfer.
Can you tell us more about PlumbingForce’s public liability insurance?
Public liability insurance helps cover compensation in the event of damage or an injury that happens to an employee.
At PlumbingForce, we hold an employee’s public liability insurance that is up to the value of £5,000,000.
Which of your services takes longer than one day to complete?
Our services can vary in length of time and sometimes take longer than a day to complete.
The most common service that requires additional time is the full boiler installation service. This sometimes includes power flushing existing radiators which can take more than one day to complete, depending on whether there are many radiators, and if the pipework system proves to be stubborn and hard to get rid of debris/scale.
Can a non-standard repair or installation still be completed on the same day?
Yes, non-standard repairs and installations can be completed on the same day, as we understand that these essential services are necessary for households and businesses.
What are the conditions not included in the guarantee?
PlumbingForce is not obliged to provide or issue any guarantees unless full payment has been paid and received.
The warranty does not cover:
- Materials supplied by the customer or other third-party companies. PlumbingForce will not accept liability for any damage or faults as a result.
- Any repairs and installations carried out for waste and drainage systems.
- Work carried out by the instruction of the customer which goes against PlumbingForce’s advice.
- Damage or defect arising from work that is not fully guaranteed or where work has not been carried out.
- Any further work that needs to be carried out if the customer has been told verbally or in writing by the company.
- Liability for any hazardous circumstances as a result of the Gas Safe regulations, or gas warning notices issued.
- Any plumbing systems damaged or tampered with by a third party.
Payment & Promotions
Which payment types do you accept?
We accept all card payments including Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. Occasionally, we accept immediate Bacs credit and CHAPS payments.
How do I pay for my service?
Before the work commences, we take a minimum one-hour charging fee to secure the booking. PlumbingForce will then collect the remaining balance after work is completed.
After the work has been completed, it will be agreed that Plumbing Force will take the remaining balance for the work completed from the debit/credit card used to secure the one-hour booking payment.
For both credit/debit cards and instantaneous bank transfers, our engineers will collect payment afterwards.
By booking an appointment with PlumbingForce or its associated companies, and where the engineer visits your property, you agree to any payments or prices quoted during your booking with our sales team.
At its sole discretion, the Company may invoice the customer for any work carried out. All such invoices are strictly net and unless agreed with the customer, are due for payment within seven days of the date of invoice.
Do you provide any specials or discounts?
We do offer discounts and special promotions on our services during the quieter seasons.
When will I be charged?
Customers are initially charged for a minimum of a one-hour rate. Afterwards, full payment is due after the completion of any work carried out and delivered.

Do you offer a discount for multiple repairs or installations?
Yes, we offer discounts for multiple installations depending on the work. Please call our friendly and professional service agents on 0330 173 2923, for further details.
Do you price match?
We offer a like-for-like basis *if our team feel the works can be completed for the price quotation.
*However, Plumbing Force is not obligated to offer a price-matching service.
Why do I have to pay VAT for my service?
Customers will pay standard rates of VAT for services and products as they are VAT elected due to the HMRC requirements. PlumbingForce is also a VAT-registered company.
Service Issues
Can I cancel a booking reservation once it has been placed?
Yes, customers have the right to cancel any bookings within fourteen days once the booking has been made.
It is recommended that customers send their cancellation notice in writing via post. Whilst, all notices of rights to cancel are sent via email.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds are only offered as part of the distance selling regulations consumer contract which allows customers the right to cancel their service or product within a 14-day cancellation period. The cancellation period starts from the confirmation date of the service booking or order.
Plumbing Force reserves the right to apply charges for both labour and consumables which can not be re-used.
What should I do if the part you installed is faulty?
In the unlikely event that you have found a faulty part after your installation, you can contact our customer service team who can arrange for a technician to repair your installation.
What should I do if I feel I’ve been overcharged for my service?
If you have been overcharged for your installation or repair service, we recommend contacting our customer service team. Our team will be able to investigate your query to see whether an overcharged payment has been made. After our investigation, if it is deemed that an overcharge has been made, we will refund the difference.

What should I do if I have a problem with the work you have carried out?
All our work is guaranteed.
However, if the fault is not because of our workmanship or component failure covered as per our standard Terms & Conditions, there will be additional charges as per our standard rate card.
