What preparations should I make before the installation of my new oven?
There are a few things you’ll need to do before our skilled engineers arrive to ensure a smooth installation process.
- Ensure there is a power point within one metre of the installation location and clear access to the area where the new appliance will be installed, making sure there is enough space to manoeuvre the appliance.
- To avoid any complications, check that the appliance will fit in the required space and that there is sufficient room at the back and on either side of the cooker to allow for proper ventilation.
- Clear the area around the installation location, ensuring there are no electric sockets or flammable items in the ‘splashback’ area directly above where the cooker will be installed.

How long does it take to install an oven?
During the installation process, the technician will first remove the old oven, connect and secure the electrical wires, position and level the oven, secure the oven with screws and brackets and test the oven to ensure that the appliance is working properly.
The technician may also need to make any necessary adjustments to the electrical connections to ensure that the oven is installed safely and efficiently.
Typically, installing an oven or hob takes 1-2 hours to complete.
