Same-Day Central Heating Power Flush

Our rates for power flushing radiators are the following:

• Up to 7 radiators – £799+VAT
• Up to 10 radiators – £999+VAT
• Up to 13 radiators – £1299+VAT
• Up to 16 radiators – £1599+VAT

The reasons why you may need a central heating power flush include:

• Allowing your radiators to be constantly vented
• For radiators with cold spots
• When your central heating takes a long time to produce heat quickly and effectively
• If your heating system water is dirty when vented or drained
• A boiler or heating system becomes noisy during operation
• Radiator leaks or corrosion

There are many benefits of having a central heating power flush that include:

• Prolonging the life of your boiler and heating system
• Improving the efficiency of your heating system.
• Reduce the amount of rust and corrosion to key components
• Removing blockages in your system
• Removing cold spots from radiators
• Improving the flow of water throughout the heating system
• Can you flush a microbore system?

Technically, you can flush a microbore system as they are composed of pipework that has a smaller diameter (8mm or 10mm) which is connected to manifolds. However, it is important to be careful when doing so, as they can present some issues when flushing whilst the flush is still conducted.

The flush itself may take longer and it is recommended that the system is chemically cleansed to help break up and loosen deposits within the heating system before a power flush takes place.

Depending on the severity of blockages, manifolds may have to be accessed to remove physical blockages. Further work may be required to bring the system back to good health and efficiency.

A chemical flush works differently from a power flush. Essentially it is a more basic cleanse that does not require a machine to flush the heating system as it utilises the system’s flow to circulate.

The systems are left in the system for an agreed amount of time depending on the manufacturer’s guidelines. Once the system is emptied, we add a central heating inhibitor to help protect the system going forward.

A magnetic filter can be cut into your heating pipework which is usually situated at the boiler return connection to catch any sludge or debris within the heating system.
